I started my life in the kitchen at age 15 as an after school apprentice. That Mission Canyon kitchen changed my life- I fell in love with the work and never looked back. Since then I’ve worked in kitchens from Berkeley to New York City to Deer Isle to Ojai and, finally, back home in Santa Barbara.
My priority in creating menus is always locality and seasonality. It’s a gift to know and work with incredibly talented farmers, ranchers and fisher-people in our community. To honor their efforts I design menus around what they have to offer and use minimal processing to let their products shine.
